    The room was very spacious with wonderful views over the lake. The staff were helpful when, by our mistake the couple we were travelling with didn't have a room. Breakfast - you have to be down at your nominated time because they will have a Japanese experience waiting on your table and they want the rice to be at the right temperature. Plus, there is plenty of free parking if you are driving. One of the best hotels we have stayed at.

    We had a few issues which left me wanting a bit more (our child got sick and the Japanese hotel staff had us go to the lobby to get the sheets and then change the sheets ourselves, plus a forgotten item in the room which we couldn't recover or easily confirm), but other than that I am extremely satisfied and definitely want to stay again. The food was delicious and there was authentic Nepalese food probably made by the staff themself for breakfast, plus a bunch of options. The public bath was really hot and I wish there was lotion and a bit more changing space, but the other amenities were good. The hotel is decently close to the station and 30 mins walk to the castle, but we needed parking and were thankful for the free parking, even if it was a bit confusing to use at first. We were a mixed Japanese and foreigner group, so we didnt have trouble understanding the signs, and there seemed to be a good number of spots. The simple but free weekday dinner set (retort pouch, rice, boiled egg, drink) hit the spot for both adults and picky kids. The bathroom was a bit dirty with some mold on the sink stopper, and a bit outdated rooms, but the price was an exceptional value so no complaints. Comfortable bed and decent sized room, and the desk and chair were actually really easy to work on. Breakfast was fantastic, and the welcome drink bar was a major selling point that solidly convinced us to give 5 stars for our stay. There were some exceptional staff that were really helpful and friendly, and some not so much. An international mix of staff and customers.
