Awful, bed springs were gone, crack in window glass, extractor fan in bathroom not working , sink in bathroom blocked and whole room a bit tatty and unclean. The breakfast was awful , just eggs on your choice on one piece of toast !!!! cheapest bread and condiments on earth, the yogurt pots from the Asda value range, we didn’t bother with breakfast after day 1

The room we were given in the Annex was better than I expected but the smell from the outside was not pleasant. We wondered what it was but realised, when it was emptied on the day that we were leaving, it was coming from the wheelie bin in the alley close to our bedroom window. The literature in the bedroom stated that the breakfast was extended until 11am on bank holidays so had a lie in until 10am. Went down for breakfast at 10:15 to be told that breakfast had stopped. When I mentioned the extended hours on bank holidays he shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know anything about that. Not somewhere that I could honestly recommend as a destination unless you're travelling on a budget for an overnight stay. More than one day would be too much.

The hotel is in a great location, right in front of the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the room, particularly the bathroom, needs improvement. The breakfast could also benefit from more options, especially in the hot food selection, as there are only eggs available. Additionally, offering a wider variety of fruits would be appreciated. Otherwise, we had a wonderful day at the Irish hotel.

We stayed in a well presented annex room only let down by a badly broken window. The bathroom was generally very clean but could benefit from treatment of the small amount of mould in the shower area. The shower had excellent pressure and temperature but lubrication of the rather stiff shower door would improve access. We were pleased with the complimentary continental breakfast and service. Overall a pleasant stay.

No butter for toast, I asked for some , waiter walked past me to empty top table and collected dirty pots not wearing gloves and apron them took them to kitchen reappeared seconds later with milk jug with some tasteless spread in it.table clothes grubby. Fruit juice not chilled. Have to lean over juices and milk to reach cereals.steps down to breakfast room very dirty, whole place could do with a proper clean. Staff pleasant courteous and helpful. Found kettle in a wardrobe that sliding doors don’t slide. Got trapped in shower, with nightmare setting temperature. Locked out of main building so had to walk around to front door. Hairdryer stopped working after 30 seconds. At every turn I found the staff unhelpful & unfriendly

Room was sound. Great view across the water. Extractor fan in the bathroom sounded like a chinook was landing but no bother really. Drainage to the shower drain wasn't great but didn't quite overflow. Overall, very pleasant!

Loved the Iris hotel experience. The room was very clean, comfortable and overlooking the sea. The staff were extremely attentive, and looked after us very well. The bed was giant sized and haven't slept so well in years. The continental breakfast was just right with lots of choice. I was very impressed with the whole stay and it was very reasonably priced. Well done to the staff, they worked so hard for us. 👍

Ideal location. Hotel is situated on the prom not far from the theatre. It was a bank holiday weekend and this was one of the few hotels not to heavily inflate their price. We had a room on the top, 4th floor, so the views were excellent. Ensuite shower room was compact, but certainly more than adequate. Facilities for tea and coffee were provided with more than sufficient sachets for our entire stay, unlike many chains where you might manage a couple of drinks. Like many seafront hotels in Llandudno, it was characterful. My only adverse observation was that with the room in the eves of the roof, the curtains were fitted to the sloped ceiling and hung down approx 18 inches away from the window. No problem 4 floors up for privacy, but when the sun began to rise at about 4.30am, if you were on that side of the bed, you soon wake up. Blinds or a pair of curtains should have been fitted adjacent to the window. (Might slightly impair an easy clear view, but at 5.00am, sleep is the priority. Friendly staff, check in easy.

I had a horrible experience at the Iris Hotel in Llandudno. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout my stay, which set a negative tone from the start. There were no heating adjustments available in the room, making it very uncomfortable. The mattress was terrible, leading to sleepless nights, and the noise from other rooms caused constant disturbance, adding to the frustration. The biggest issue was the broken shower. The water temperature was uncontrollably hot – so much so that it could easily burn your skin. It was dangerous and unacceptable. Overall, this hotel failed in every basic aspect of hospitality. I would not recommend it to anyone.
