Grand Hotel Llandudno

Major negative ! There were black marks possibly from previous damp penetration on the west facing wall. We had unpacked or I would have refused the room. I cleaned them off myself. When I explained to reception they simply apologised but didn’t see over concerned??? Hotel very run down in need of major refurbishment. Positive. Room was clean apart from DAMP wall. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Entertainment was mediocre . Breakfast was average. The sea view was excellent. Would stay again but would inspect room before occupying. Overall enjoyable stay.

Old and dated. Definitely needs a massive surge of cash spending on it but staff were pleasant, bedding was clean and water was hot. Evening meal was unimaginative and basic. Evening entertainment was good with a quiz, bingo , show and karaoke - just what we needed on a blustery, rainy evening which was too bad to venture out. We had a good stay, no problem.

Absolutely terrible place and also the reception is differential to people .avoid it .

Check in was 3pm got there got to reception at 10 to 3 wouldn't let us in till 3pm ,room wasn't up to much window looking out to a brick wall ,got up in morning to make a drink kettle didn't work wouldn't stay here again.

Great that they are upgrading. A little work to do but clean ans comfortable and friendly staff.

Rooms are old and dated and nowhere to park car for a big hotel chain it was well below standards. Had breakfast one morning and the food looked like it had been over cooked and leftnon the hotnplate for hours and was all dried up

place needed a good clean in places bedding was clean and fresh and it could do with a lick of paint everywhere. no service of your room the whole entire stay if you want fresh towels, tea coffee etc or toilet roll you have to ask at reception. breakfast was ok plenty of it and warm. staff very friendly i would stop again as it met our needs

No parking, Patio door wouldn`t lock and safety device was not connected even though there was a warning on the hotel leaflet not to use the balcony for safety reasons. Bathroom door could not be closed from outside ( no handles) to stop the permanent light shining through during the night. The staff were excellent as was the food the dining room was also well kept.

Me and my family stayed here for the weekend, ill start with the Negatives the ground floor toilets has you enter were not acceptable there was never any toilet paper or soap and a dirty nappy was left in the middle of the floor which i understand is not the hotels fault but the disgusting person who left it there but when the reception staff were informed they said they couldint do anything about it at that time and the nappy was still there later that day which just means there is no regular cleaner or inspection of the toilets. On first appearances the hotel didnt really impress me its shabby looking and there is bird poo on all the windows which is quite sickening when your eating breakfast in the dining room, all the wndows could do with a good clean. These were my only nagative points has i was pleasently supprised just how much i enjoyed my stay here, the staff are pleasent, the hotel was nicer on the inside, our quadruple room was basic and nice with tea making facilities, t.v, wardrobe, the room was clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. The entertainment that night was good also with 2 singers and then a giggle at the karaoke, i stayed up way past my bedtime for it lol. The dining room was a nice size, i liked the buffet breakfast and the food was good. Overall despite my nagatives i would stay in this hotel again.

Nice hotel and location but staff need training and need to welcome in good manner as they need to know the hospitality and warm welcome and explain all the facilities such as breakfast timing ,breakfast area ,check out time ,prices of breakfast internet facilities and how to connect and also surrounding and many more which makes the guest more satisfied and happy for the services as people pay for services and wanted to feel that they are in such environment where they enjoy and get relax and enjoy the holidays and stay .

Staff excellent. Food was ok. Room brilliant sea view. Windows outside need cleaning. Good overall for the price paid.

Worst i ever found, blocked my door next day because they forgot to take from me the deposit for the pet and to be refunded after check out, i didn't receive my money back,Expedia site they do nothing, the only nice things its where it is the hotel,nice view...nothing else,very expensive for the condition, dirty on the windows,small of bleach and a lot of hear on the floor,toilet small in the morning....disappointed for the money i paid for 2 nights its not worth

Rooms very dated with paper peeling of the walls. Food terrible and really overpriced.

Check in was ok - despite conflicting information on the Hotels.com website. The room had a view of the sea, but also had a hole in the wall. There was no plug in the wash basin. When this was reported, a plug was provided - but it was too small and we had to McGuiver a solution. There was only one bedside table, no power outlets close to the bed, no extra blankets in case the room was cold, and the window didn’t close properly. We stayed for four nights and there was no housekeeping (clean sheets, towels etc) during our stay. No toilet brush… Although it appears improvements have been made to the property, I’m sure there are better places available for a lower price. The property did not respond to various enquiries made through the Hotels.com app, and there helpline number was a premium rate number.

Hotel looking tired, room reminded me of SLAM room - basic/grim.

Booked a short stay with our young granddaughter,reckon that we chose the right place. Almost everything on your doorstep in a lovely place like Llandudno.

I will never stay here again

Overall it was a good experience but in the morning when we are about to take a shower, there is no any toiletries.

Location was perfect but rooms were terrible walls wafer thin you could hear neighbours both sides and above, the floor boards creaked so loud in all rooms by us, a few times when we were in bed we thought people had entered our room due to thin wall's.Had a family room with grandson it was so small you had to walk sideways to get to the dirty french windows that was falling apart, balcony was dismal. Worse hotel weve ever stayed in in over 30years. Blonde haired receptionist was cocky and unhelpful, asked for milk, teabags, toilet roll and towels to be taken to room, she started laying them out on counter! We had a 4 night stay. Best advice i can give is give it a wide berth.

We didn't eat there, the beds and pillows were hard and they said they didn't have any bath towels.

We needed a last-minute hotel for one night at a reasonable price and this was by far the cheapest. I was aware of its reputation and was very wary. But check-in was very quick and the room was ok. The bathroom has been refurbished so it wasn't too bad although the finish and attention to detail was awful. I was pleasantly surprised to find a panel not curtain for the shower. Room was small but includes an iron and kettle with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. There are plenty of plugs. Of course, by far the best feature is the hotel's location right next to the pier with amazing views across the bay. If the price were right, I would definitely stay again.

Arrived, someone was sleeping in the room. The lady at the front was helpful I feel sorry for her.

Situation was perfect for amenities

The hotel was ok apart from the beds being very uncomfortable to sleep in. The mattress was very hard and very uncomfortable.

Really close to the beach and it's amenities, clean and quite room.
