    Arrived just before 12.30, as my check in time on booking confirmation was 12.30. Guy in reception told me i was wrong and check in was 2pm for everybody, he was aggressive and quite rude in his approach, not customer focused at all. He told me i was wrong so i showed him the booking on my phone and he then told me i had requested that time. I hadnt it was standard booking details. Another gent suggested he call cleaners to see if room was ready. It was so he reluctantly handed us the key card. A shame really as room was pretty decent, very clean and fresh fruit and water in room with a fridge. Beds are very very firm. Breakfast is mainly a continental type with fried eggs and baked beans only

    Nice stay at the London City Hotel. Staff was excellent. Room was comfortable once we figured out how to turn the A/C on. Room was small but good enough for a single night stay

    This hotel is amazing. They truly treated me with kindness and decency on a day when I was struggling. I would recommend this hotel. They allowed me to check out late and did not complain when I spent the entire day in the lobby packing and repacking and searching for my wallet while taking phone calls to arrange my journey back to the USA. In fact, multiple times I was offered fresh hot tea, snacks and a kind ear from both the reception employees and also the owner of the hotel himself. I would highly recommend this - even though it's not the newest or most modern or state-of-the-art facilities, the heart of this hotel shines through and you know that you will be well cared for here.
