My adult daughter and I were guests for a week at La Gabelletta, and I look forward to returning as soon as I can. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, the hosts gracious and welcoming, the site mellow and warm, the pool clean and cool. Our blood pressures dropped measurably. We dined splendidly on homemade pastas, crisp, ripe melon with aged prosciutto and wonderful lamb chops off the grill. If you really want to experience Italy, I highly recommend the short trip to Amelia and La Gabelletta--only an hour's train ride from Rome to its simple and elegant pleasures.

Every room is different with interesting designs. The restaurant is well known with delicious food and attracts locals from all over the area. The owner Maria makes sure guests are taken care of--very home and comfortable bed and breakfast atmosphere. There are also suites and apartments at the villa, which located in a beautiful setting of fields and forrests.
