Herriots

Lovely breakfast good staff room needed a little tlc bathroom very nice

Loved the position of the hotel , on the canal so we could walk along the to-path into the centre , which was a short walk . You could see the canal boats go by. The room was clean , well maintained & very comfortable . Daily maid service was extremely efficient . We had a problem with the television which was dealt with as soon as we informed the staff. Breakfast was great, my husband had the full Yorkshire breakfast which he said was brilliant , I had continental , there was lots of choice & constantly replenished by very help full staff. We stayed in room 4, we had a view of the courtyard & to-path so it was really nice & different .

Overall nice comfy room/hotel, just missing a fridge in the room, apart from unusual hot weather, like to keep water cold in our room for middle of the night, get quite thirsty. Could easily fit a small fridge in the cupboard where you kept the tea tray. X

We had three nights at the Herriot and it was a lovely place to stay. The staff are amazing and everything just seems to work. We stayed in the Herriot House just next door in a family room which had more than enough room for two. A very relaxing stay. We’ll be back for sure.
