Bay Inn of Petoskey

Our stay at the inn was pleasant, beautiful bay view, and close to town.

It would have been nice to know where ice and vending could be found unless I missed that in my reservation confirmation.

Parking was convenient. I received my room number and door code with no problem. The room and the outdoor hot tub were clean. The building is old, but has been maintained. The view was great.

We had a wonderful three night stay! The view from the second floor is just beautiful, and we loved sitting on the bench in the morning and looking at the bay. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was very nicely decorated, too. Before checking in, the property had sent a message saying they left earplugs for us because the walls tend to be thin. This made me super nervous, but noise wasn’t an issue at all! The air conditioner is just loud enough that we never heard anyone around us. It is important to note that isn’t really like a standard hotel. There isn’t a lobby or office. They send you a code to check-in and a phone number to call if you need anything. We had to ask for fresh towels or toilet paper when we saw a staff member, and our room wasn't cleaned once we checked in. For us, this wasn’t an issue, but I would have liked at least the floor swept due to the sand from us going to the beach. We are pretty easy-going, so we didn’t mind that our beds weren’t made by a housekeeper each day or that we had to empty our own trash. The view, comfort, and price was well worth it, and we will certainly be back next summer!
