This place was very genuine and had the old characters preserved and at the same time felt very new and clean. We had booked the family room also named the suite. It had one double and one pull out couch that was a real bed pulled out on the front of the coach (not those things you have to lay on the floor or crawl into from the side). The room had sea views and was very spacious. We had a electric car and there was a pole with two chargers and the coat was 40 sek for one night charging. One improvement I would suggest is to take new pictures of the place, the ones on the website doesn’t make it justice. We had dinner at Mormor’s bistro in the harbor and the food was really really good. But you need to make reservations before to be guaranteed a table. We took a swim by the hotel dock and one improvement would be to clean up the beach for family’s to be able to swim there. For breakfast we missed something hot on the buffe but the amazing bread from Mormor’s bakery made up for that. We ended our stay with buying the famous cinnamon buns from the bakery and they where not disappointing. I really enjoyed our stay here and the concept of the bakery, bistro and hotel complementing each other in this little village is just genius and exactly what I want when on vacation.

Nice hotel in a former Summer Youth Colony, close to a little harbour town, not too far removed from Kalmar, Borgholm and other places to visit on Öland. Comfortable, decent breakfast, nice staff, good price.

When I went there with my family on a Wednesday, it was very quiet both for the hotel and the surroundings. We were the only customers there on the first day. The hotel was nice and the area it was at was very good, it was peaceful and enjoyable. However the breakfast was very lacking, with poor portions and no meat served!
