Hotel Life Gran Via

Staff were friendly, place was very unique, beautiful and cozy. Not the best soundproofing but a great place nonetheless! Close to nice bars and restaurants. Safe and central. Will definitely go back.

Its a nice cozy hotel with limited rooms right in the centre of Gran Via area. It has got a great old charm yet has all the modern facilities. Good Wifi and clean rooms. All come with a nice sitout that keeps your room clean and free from food smell. Kudos

This was a last minute reservation and we found everything fairly easy. Location is central to just about everything and in the middle of a trendy neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel is also trendy although I think somewhat shabby, but in a cool way. The hotel staff was responsive and our room was quiet and clean. I’m glad we stayed here and would do so again when I need a last minute place to stay.

We booked a quad room as there was 4 of us. Most pictures shows two beds in separate rooms, or two full size beds on either side of the room. In fact our set up was a large double room, with a sofa bed at the end. Why have pictures of a room you will not get? When questioned about this at reception, they said it had 4 beds so it technically is a quad. But the price was the cost of 2 double rooms, not one room with an extra bed. It should have been 100 euros less if that was the case. The bathroom door did not close, as it had no latch and no lock. It stayed a jar (not great for 4 people in one room sharing one bathroom). The aircon was not working, and not easy to use, but they sent someone to fix it who came pretty quickly. There were some positives. The area is really great, the lobby bar area is cool, and staff were nice. Just not worth double the price for one room with an extra bed at the end of your bed. I tried to upload pictures of the room and bathroom door Agoda did not allow me to do this on the app or website. Maybe they don't like negative pictures. Not sure.
