Very nice hotel but feels a little bit old and worn compared to the pictures. The biggest downside was many rooms without even a window which made them feel like a bunker, also that there was not even a door to the bathrooms but a swing door (which apparently was part of the design in many of the rooms). We read beforehand that there was a private beach just below the hotel, which instead is a public beach where you need to pay for sunbeds. Also the hotel is called ”Makarska” but is a 20min and €40 journey from the city of Makarska, and going to Split airport is about a €200 taxi journey, so wouldn’t recommend going here without a rental car or without coordinated transport trough TUI. The staff on the other hand is amazing and really made their best efforts to to balance our unmet expectations. Overall a very nice holiday!

Great stay at your hotel for a couple of nights after a mini cruise around the Adriatic. The location is second to none. Most staff are very friendly (Nikola from the bar and James Paul from the restaurant). Thank you

Well kept, 2 very good pools and insane views of the sea and montains. Direct access to a wonderful beach (almost private). Breakfast was super good also. Only bad thing is the lack of parking space (paid at the street/sun), and somehow one of the other guests managed to scratch my car in this “private” parking of the hotel.

Maybe I’m being harsh but I found out recently that stay to be just a bit bland. Nothing was awful. Some of the staff were excellent (predominantly the new ones who have started there recently due to the situation in the Middle East and them having to move to find work) the front desk were not welcoming at all. The rooms were just OK - they’re getting a bit tired. The pool areas were OK - they’re just getting a bit tired. The bar areas were OK - they’re just getting a bit tired. You get the drift. The location is beautiful but probably not worth the 1.5-2hr transfer from either Split or Dubrovnik. There will be better hotels with just as good views with a shorter drive. We were only there a few nights after coming off a sailing trip round the islands so maybe we’d been spoilt. I’d been looking forward to going here for some time but the reality let it down. I was underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. TUI, you could do better.
