The room was very comfortable and wonderfully clean. The hot water was provided by Solar power and was delightful. The Staff were excellent, spoke perfect English, and really 'went overboard' to help us.We loved them.
The Restaurant was fantastic! Boyan and Daniel showcased the wonderful seafood of the area! They had incredible knowledge of the seafood and dishes of the region. The Hotel even boasted it's own fisherman! He caught most of the fish they served from his own little boat. He and Boyan even went out to catch us special fish using their 'parengals', a 400 meter long line tethered to a buoy. The Chef had 40 years experience and was amazing. Do not miss out on their locally made aperitif, home cured and salted anchovies and beautiful olives!
They always showed us the fish before cooking it. It was clear eyed and obviousy very fresh..It was served with traditional Croatian sauces and was always wonderful! We loved every dish!
We hired a car from Split airport, it was amazingly cheap. We drove from Ploce to Baska Voda. Makarska, Tucepi , Drevenic and Podgora were lovely and our favourites. I really recommend driving here. We took boat trips to Brac and Hvar, Beautiful islands, well worth a visit, loads to see.
For the more active, there are mountain walks, climbing and cycle paths. There are loads of wonderful views and wildlife to see.
This hotel is small but very special and the Restaurant is definitely one not to miss! Bring a car, there is ample parking.
