Space Apart Hotel

My wife and I stayed here for approximately five days and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The property is a small apartment-style hotel located close to Bayswater Station, with plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The neighborhood was relatively quiet, despite being a popular area for tourists. Our apartment was on the second floor and was surprisingly quiet. The bathroom and shower were quite small, but the apartment itself was well equipped with a kitchen, hot-water kettle, refrigerator, dishwasher, and washing machine. Having a kitchen was a major advantage, particularly for a longer stay. I did notice some of the issues mentioned in other reviews. There were a few areas of mold throughout the apartment, including some deterioration and rotten wood around the window sills. The shower was also small and could have been cleaner. That said, the air conditioning worked very well, which was especially appreciated during the London heatwave. Housekeeping was available upon request. If you didn’t specifically ask for service, the staff would generally only come by to remove the trash, and even that was somewhat inconsistent. The front-desk staff were friendly and helpful. There was quite a bit of staff turnover during our stay, so I only really got to know one of them. Sean (or Shawn), originally from Delhi, was particularly helpful and went above and beyond by watching our luggage while we explored London on our final day. We really appreciated that. Overall, it was a great stay. This isn’t a luxury property and shouldn’t be compared directly with something like a Hilton, but at approximately $150 per night, having an apartment with a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and air conditioning made it a very good value for London. We would happily consider staying here again. Also, the local pub-scene was quite posh, walk a few blocks into Nottingham and visit the Cock and Bottle. It’s an old-school pub full of locals, with a good Sunday roast and a cold brew.

Great location. We stayed in a loft apartment with a low glass roof - the blinds were dirty, and one was broken. Some of the lights were not working, so the apartment was not well-lit. Be careful of the stairs to the loft - very narrow. And the shower was not very hot.
