    Stayed for one night (21-22 August) and had a great experience. Clean and modern rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff, and a convenient location. The complimentary breakfast was a nice added bonus and offered plenty of choices. Excellent value for a short Newcastle getaway. Would stay again.

    We booked two nights one directly with IHG and the second through Agoda. When talking to a reception and then a manager they still didn’t want to give me a room that I could stay in consecutively without moving. The whole problem was we got a flex room directly and we are gold elite members through IHG. Normally they give us an upgrade no problem or that’s part of a flex room, if they have it available. They said they didn’t. I pulled it up on IHG showing them that they did and in the end they gave it to me. Bad management for me to prove my case first instead of just given it to me as they should as an elite gold member. Next morning at breakfast it was very busy and there were no clean tables to sit at. We ended up pushing dishes to one side of the table and still eating on a dirty table. There were at least three other staff members that could see that this is what happened and they still did not clean off the end of the table the whole time we ate our breakfast. In the very back room where we were sitting, none of the other tables got cleaned, causing other people to have the same problem. Again bad leadership through management. They need to handle this management problem in my opinion.
