Boulders Beach Hotel and Restaurant

Great restaurant, great location, great view.

This place is fantastic! It’s within walking distance of Boulders Beach and the penguins, which made the location really special. The views are beautiful, especially at sunrise. It’s a little removed from the downtown area (about a 30-minute walk), so the surroundings feel a bit isolated. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced, and the staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at Boulders hotel. The location is one of the best in Simon’s Town in our opinion with direct access to Boulders Beach and the walks around the area. It’s a short drive from the centre of Simon’s Town but the onsite restaurant has a stunning view over the sea and is perfect for watching the sunset and dasssies playing in the empty car park. It also does lovely food with a good selection both for breakfast and dinner, I particularly enjoyed the shakahuka and hot chocolate. The staff are very friendly and helpful and also made recommendations. If you’re driving then be mindful the car park can be full if arriving to check-in at 2pm but there was always space by 5/6pm when Boulders Beach was closing and there are 3 small spaces at the side of the hotel too. The drive to Cape Point is as stunning as the Chapman’s Peak Drive we took to arrive in Simon’s Town and a highlight of our stay. We were very grateful of the fridge in the room and the bed was super comfy. If we’re back in Simon’s Town we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
