Sands is a truly exceptional boutique hotel that delivers a level of personal service rarely found today. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was seamless, comfortable, and memorable. It is, without question, one of the finest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Shortly after arriving, I realised—rather embarrassingly—that I had taken the wrong suitcase from the airport. What could have been a very stressful situation was handled with extraordinary care and professionalism by Amaury and Sunny from the concierge team. They contacted the airline, coordinated the luggage delivery, and arranged taxis for my journeys back and forth. Their dedication, efficiency, and genuine kindness went far beyond my expectations, and I remain deeply grateful for everything they did. Our room was wonderfully spacious and easily accommodated an additional bed for my teenage daughter without ever feeling cramped. I highly recommend requesting a balcony room with a sea view—the scenery is breathtaking, and if you’re lucky, you may even spot the island’s fascinating fruit bats hanging in the trees after sunset. The Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the resort, including in our room and around the pool. The buffet restaurant was another highlight. The selection was extensive, with a different culinary theme each evening—Italian, seafood, Asian, Indian, and more. Every meal was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and consistently of a very high standard. We spent much of our time relaxing by the pool, where there were always plenty of sun loungers available. Ruddy looked after us wonderfully and even cleaned our sunglasses regularly—a thoughtful little touch that perfectly reflects the hotel’s outstanding attention to detail. We also joined the morning aqua gym sessions, which were great fun and a fantastic way to start the day. The resort offers an impressive range of complimentary water activities, including windsurfing, kayaking, paddle sports, snorkelling, and glass-bottom boat trips. The activity team was consistently friendly, patient, and encouraging, making every experience enjoyable regardless of ability. Evenings were made even more special by the live jazz band. They created such a relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere that I could happily have listened to them all night. It was the perfect soundtrack to a magical holiday. Sands effortlessly combines the charm and intimacy of a boutique hotel with the impeccable service of a world-class luxury resort. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for, and it is the people who truly make this hotel so special. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning. I cannot recommend Sands highly enough.

I spent 7 days at sands and suites resort and spa, it was perfect honeymoon location the suite was comfy and spacious, staff were really great, professional and friendly. The buffet has variety of food and a theme every day. The location is perfect and near most of the attractions in Mauritius. The toilets have bidet which great for Muslims. The only negative point which i suffered for couple of times since this is my first trip is reaching the report. if you follow Google maps in most cases it will take you through private property road which you will end up at a gate that no one will open so you will have to go back and find another way. The only way to reach the resort is through coastal rd (flic en flac beach). I honestly don't hold the resort accountable for this as they have no control on this. I don't know if the resort can do anything to remove this private property road from appearing whenever someone follow the directions to the resort using Google maps. Other than that I enjoyed every night on the hotel it was great experience and definitely if I everplan to come back I would pick sands and suites

Excellent Water sport activities on offer and close to the bigger beach.

This hotel is good if you prefer to sit back and relax in a quiet environment in front of the beach. However, the food is ok but not much variety. The hotel room is clean and neat but the single bed is quite small and the room is quite small too. However, it will be good if can inform customers earlier about the cancellation of pre-booked water activities due to whatever reason. It is quite disappointing as we waited for few days to experience the glass base water boat but it was cancelled last minute without any notification. We waited for 2 hours in the hotel to go for that, but only informed us about the cancellation when we reached the waiting area to board the boat. It is ridiculous and wasted our time. Hope the hotel can improve the arrangement in the future.
