Sofitel Mauritius L'Imperial Resort & Spa

Staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Whether it was booking restaurants in venue or arranging taxi's and expeditions, the service and experience received was exceptional.

The only addition would be to expand the facilities at the boat house - we used it a few times but I think more support for beginners of things like windsurfing would be useful.

Breakfast selection could be better

The facilities are great however the service is not excellent it’s lacking definitely room for improvement. Breakfast is good just like any other hotel.

We had an issue with the toilet wasn’t working as soon as we received the room means it was not checked prior to giving us the room. Hotel rectified by offering an upgrade which we appreciated. Also the restaurants in the facility are not great can definitely be improved.

The room was nice but wasn’t cleaned properly, The heated pool was great plus the beach.

The service at this hotel was, in my opinion, quite poor. It didn’t even come close to the level of a 5-star hotel. For instance, the tray of the room service was left outside for more than 24 hours. I had to call them several times to get it. One of the blankets was sheared, and they didn’t notice it before they gave us the room. So, at night, we had to call them again for a replacement. I also noticed that during the buffet, they wanted to collect the food even before it was time, about 10 minutes early. They seemed in a rush, and to make matters worse, you had to pay for your own soft drinks. Another issue was that there were no mini bar options in the room.
