We had an exceptional stay at Palazzo Versace Dubai while celebrating my husband’s birthday. I had planned a surprise for him in our suite, and the staff went above and beyond to help make it special. What impressed me most was how thoughtful they were in keeping the surprise a secret. During check-in, the receptionist discreetly communicated with me via WhatsApp and even pretended she was showing me my confirmation number so my husband wouldn’t suspect anything. It was such a small detail, but it showed how much they genuinely cared about making the experience memorable. Our original plan was to leave the room before the surprise setup, but my husband fell asleep. I asked the team to delay the arrangements several times, and every single time they were incredibly patient, flexible, and accommodating without making me feel like I was inconveniencing them. The suite itself was stunning—beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and the bathroom was absolutely luxurious. As a lovely gesture, they also surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake, which made the celebration even more special. From the outstanding service to the attention to detail, everything exceeded my expectations. Thank you to everyone who helped make my husband’s birthday unforgettable. I would happily recommend Palazzo Versace Dubai to anyone looking for a truly memorable luxury stay.

While there were a few positive aspects to our stay, overall the experience fell significantly below the standards we expected from a luxury hotel and a Superior City View Room. First, the check-in process was extremely slow. We waited over 30 minutes and still had not received our room key, which was a disappointing start to our stay. Upon entering the room, we noticed that there were no welcome drinks, chocolates, or other arrival amenities. The minibar contained only two bottles of mineral water. This was surprising, as we had seen multiple online reviews from previous guests who received welcome treats and a better-stocked minibar. In addition, there was no hairdryer in the room, which was quite inconvenient. The TV remote control was difficult to use, with several buttons barely responding. Changing channels was frustrating, and none of the available channels showed the World Cup. Even more disappointing was the fact that there seemed to be nowhere in the entire hotel—including the rooms, restaurants, and bars—where guests could watch World Cup matches. Considering how important this event is to many travelers, this was a major drawback. The breakfast selection was also rather limited. There were very few vegetable options, and overall the quality and variety did not reflect what one would expect from a luxury hotel. More generally, the entire property felt quiet and somewhat lacking in atmosphere. The hotel gave an impression of being underutilized and lacking energy. That said, I would like to recognize some members of the staff who made a positive impression. The housekeeping staff member who serviced our room was exceptionally friendly, with a warm smile and genuinely welcoming attitude. The female staff member at the front desk was also very polite and helpful. In particular, the lobby manager provided excellent service and recommended a nearby bar where we could watch the World Cup. Thanks to this recommendation, our evening was saved from being completely ruined. The professionalism and kindness of these staff members were the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, however, the overall hotel experience did not meet the expectations associated with a property of this level.
