    We had a frustrating start due to booking through a third party, and I want to be very clear—be cautious when using them. The listing showed a king bedroom throughout most of the booking process, which is exactly what we needed, but that detail was not reflected in the final confirmation. It felt misleading, and unfortunately, that resulted in an issue upon arrival. When we checked in and got to our room, we found two queen beds instead of the king we believed we had booked. I had even added a note requesting a king bed based on what was shown earlier in the booking process. When I went back to the front desk, they confirmed the reservation came through as a standard two-queen room and explained that changes typically have to be handled through the third party. While that situation was frustrating, the hotel staff completely turned things around. The front desk associate took the time to contact her manager, and by the time we returned with our luggage, they had upgraded us to a king suite for our entire stay. That level of care and effort truly made a difference. This hotel isn’t your typical stay—it includes a water park and amusement features, which we didn’t use since we were just visiting our son nearby. We chose it for the location, but the service is what stood out most. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making sure our visit was a great one. We’re very grateful they stepped in and made things right—but I would strongly recommend booking directly with the hotel to avoid the kind of confusion we experienced.

    Reception when checking in was exceptional. The young woman was very welcoming and helpful. The next morning a simple question was answered by another woman at reception with mild hostility, thus the lower rating. Otherwise, spending the time there was adequate for our time with the kids at the park, which is great value.
