We had a lovely stay at Dormie House from 6th - 10 July. We had a room that was clean yet really small to be honest . There was no where to hang clothes, apart from two pegs to hang our coats on. That was a bit frustrating.
Also painters came in on the second day and the strong smell of enamel paint permeated into our room ...it was awful , I ended up with a terrible headache and went down to reception to see if something could be done. Gale , the receptionist, went into action immediately to sort us another room , far away from the paint smell.
The Manager put us in a beautiful room overlooking the golf course. It was very generous of him and most appreciated.
The staff are really lovely. A shout out to Gale and also an amazing young man , Cameron, who served the drinks in the bar. Very chatty and interested in you ..a lovely young man.
The only slight criticism is that I found it a quite cold building. Yes I know its winter but a but more warmth throughout would have been nice.
Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and thank everyone for making it so.

We stayed in a refurbished King Room and it was lovely. Beautiful room, comfy bed, great value of money. We'll definitely stay there again, it's perfect for a weekend getaway. But we won't eat there again, the dinner wasn't great.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historic property. Staff were particularly friendly and obliging. We stayed in an updated room which was very comfortable.

Initial room was very small. There was no issues to upgrade to the bigger room. Staff were very helpful.
