Clean and comfortable room! All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent! The shuttle service was super convenient. Bob was an excellent driver!! Really enjoyed the drinks and cozy atmosphere at the bar! I believe Michael was the bartender. He makes a great manhattan. Will definitely return the next time we are in Pittsburgh!

It’s nice to see this historic building find new life as a hotel. While it definitely lacks state-of-the-art features that most modern hotels are able to offer, it manages to make up for it with a certain quirky charm. Proximity to the City Center is just a 5 minute cab ride, but the hotel itself is not in a particularly interesting or upscale part of town. Our biggest disappointment with our stay was the general tone of indifference exhibited by the staff. I wouldn’t say they were unfriendly, just that there seemed to be no interest in ensuring guests were made to feel welcome. I have no idea whether it’s just a Pittsburgh thing, kind of like how Bostonians have a reputation for being A’ holes. Either way, poor customer service is a complete deal breaker for us. So unfortunately, we will most likely not be staying here again.

Everything about this hotel was amazing. I travel often, 2-3 times monthly. This was thee cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, the staff was amazing from the front desk to housekeeping. I wish I could have stayed a few more nights. Parking, the area, everything was great! Highly recommend! Judy

Very nice boutique hotel! Lovely rescued and renovated building. Our particular Queen room was quite small, but other family had a King bed and the room was much more spacious. We had a 1am loud talker in the room above us (out of the hotel's control) and I had to pad up the stairs to say something, so the guy finally wrapped up his phone call. Rude! Great central location to many tourist destinations. We loved Pittsburgh! Even though the traffic was pretty slow.

This was the best hotel stay I have ever had. I have stayed in 5 * hotels all over the world, and this place was perfect. It was so quiet and clean and the bed was so comfortable. The highlights: Plenty of large clean white towels. Plenty of wonderfully comfortable pillows. Nice new robes. Quiet Perfectly clean. It is a beautiful renovation on a lovely historic building. I don't need to stay another night, but I might.

The hotel was charming. The lobby had a warm, welcoming feel. The room was clean throughout, with fresh towels and a spotless bathroom. The beds were comfortable, and we slept well each night. The location was a real plus. It was within walking distance to so many cute shops, cafés, and local spots. We enjoyed exploring on foot and never felt the need to drive. We loved our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything ran smoothly. We would definitely stay again.

A unique property close to downtown.

The hotel rooms, lobby, and reception area are above average. The front desk is very helpful. Even though it was chilly, we enjoyed the outdoor seating in the back patio. The only thing that could have been better was the neighborhood. There was no place within walking distance to eat and no places to shop. It is convenient to get to other parts of the city by car, but not much public transportation. We walked across a bridge to get to downtown to eat. Other than that, we would recommend The Priory.

The Priory is in an excellent location. I was able to walk to downtown, and there is free parking for guests. The timed breakfast options were much appreciated, and the fitness center was good for an older hotel. All the staff at the hotel were warm and courteous. I would stay here again. I hope the hotel will make an effort to make recycling more easily available. They give out water bottles, juice bottles, and use cardboard containers, but I didn't see where to recycle those items. That adds up to a lot of waste fast.

Beautiful hotel! Wonderful "sitting room" lobby areas, fun bar, truly gracious and helpful staff. Neighborhood's not the greatest for a stroll, but I felt comfortable inside the hotel. Our room's bathroom was tiny and awkward to get in and out of (plus no shampoo/soap!) - but the room itself was spacious & we loved the high ceilings and feeling of being in a home, not a sterile hotel. Will definitely return!
