This is an EXCELLENT property. The inn keeper is delightful. She and her staff carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs for me as I have a broken elbow. Everyone made us feel right at home and made sure we had everything we needed. The home is absolutely stunning. The rooms (we saw 3) are clean and beautifully appointed. Not over wallpapered; not overdone. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the linens were perfect. They have a sweet little pub on the 1st floor with real glasses for any kind of wine, a frig with sodas and water that are offered gratis. There’s a parlor with fireplace also on the 1st floor where we watched, wine in hand, the snow fall in the beautiful park across the street. Breakfast was just the right amount and delicious.
As you can see, I can't say enough positives about the Boggs Mansion! I did not find anything wrong or cheaply done here.

First time where I stayed at bed & breakfast place..very great experience…very cool place Karen was very hospitable..breakfast was very good…will stay there again.

What an interesting and historical place to stay.
Built in 1888 it had all the charm of a place built in that period. The staff were fantastic, so accommodating regarding letting us stow our luggage, and very helpful regarding any other needs we had. There was a couple of noisy ladies staying next to us one night, but obviously that had nothing to do with the staff at Boggs mansion, it's unfortunate how inconsiderate some people are. But oh well, it certainly won't taint our nice memories of our stay there. Would highly recommend for a family gathering, I believe they have 8 rooms?

The mansion is exquisitely old with 12 ft ceilings, ornate moldings and architectural details that inspire the charm of 150 years ago. Our room was very comfortable with a wonderful bed that provided an excellent sleep. Clean bathrooms, clean room. lovely parlor with a view of the expansive park across the street. Chef Nick, one of the owners, cooked us a fantastic breakfast with homemade scones, and a fantastic baked egg, cream, leek, and prosciutto dish. It was a masterful custom breakfast. The other owner, Evan, greeted us as we entered the mansion and explained all of the things we would need to know including our outdoor lock combination so we could come and go as we pleased. The property is a bit of a work in progress and the bar was recently flooded and is under repair but it is behind a closed door and did not diminish our enjoyment of our stay. I would go back to Boggs Mansion in a heartbeat should we venture to Pittsburgh again. This is a fantastic alternative to corporate impersonal hotels. We really enjoyed getting to know and Evan and Chef Nick. They are doing a brilliant job with this property.
