The room was very affordable. I enjoyed that the window opened as I love fresh air. The breakfast was not very good- low quality bagels and yogurts and a waffle machine. The coffee in the machine was good. There was a very strong smell of marijuana in the lobby/ breakfast area when I was eating yesterday.

The place is old, but was refurbished in years past. The closet door mirror was broken. Black ants in the bathroom. On the positive side, it was one minute away from FDR's house and library, and a little bit away from a new shopping center with a supermarket. The guy who checked us in was friendly. Breakfast was waffles and oatmeal; some fruit was out to grab.
Hyde Park is not what we expected. The town looks tired. It needs updating in many areas, but at least there is new commerce coming in here and there.

Everything was as I expected, clean room, friendly staff, I did not sample the breakfast. There were no clearly labeled Handicap parking spaces only 4 "Gold Member" spaces close to the main entrance. Graciously they let me use one of these. Thank-you.
For some reason the contacted me at 2:30 asking if I was still coming? Why? Check in was not until 3:00.
I arrived at 3:30.

The staff is excellent, friendly, helpful, inviting. Room was clean and well furnished. Excellent bed and shower with good temperatures and nice flow. Good breakfast though limited--one kind of yogurt (my favorite kind!) and only apples for fruit. Safe. Great access to FDR Library in Hyde Park.
