My first Mexican vacation was awesome! The beach location in Playcar Phase 1 was the best part, it felt super safe and private. Most nights the food was great, and lunch had lots of good options.
There was some seaweed on the beach, but the Mexican people worked super hard to clean it up fast.
If you want a romantic, quiet, or family spot, this place is a winner!

I have stayed here at least 6 times, every time I’ve come to Playa and it’s always been the best. Not because it’s the newest or fanciest but because it’s location is perfect, just 1/4 mile walk to downtown Playa, right on the beach, never overcrowded, the staff is so friendly, helpful, and always in a good mood and remember my name, give it a try you will love it!

This was a “ buyer beware” situation for me. I have been there a couple times previously with family members who have had a timeshare for 30 years and always stayed in nice quarters. This time I paid for my own one bedroom. I was put into a studio “ cave” with no window. That was NOT what was advertised. Of course, I was unable to get it changed. The ocean view is fantastic. Except for breakfast, the food was mediocre, at best.
The servers are wonderfully helpful, the resort staff’s most often refrain to any guest was “ I’m sorry”.
