Worths every penny within this price range, superb location and clean hotel

The hotel was centrally located, with most attractions just a 7 to 10 minute walk away. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the hotel was unfortunately disappointing due to both service and communication issues. While this is advertised as a five-star hotel, the experience we had did not reflect that standard. We arrived early and requested an early check-in, which we understand is subject to availability. We were told the room was not ready, which was fair enough. However, no alternative options were offered while we waited—such as access to facilities or even a small gesture like a complimentary drink—which would have helped improve the experience. When we returned at the standard check-in time, things did not improve. We ended up having to assist the staff member with taking our luggage up to the room, which felt unprofessional and unexpected at this level of hotel. Once in the room, I asked about the iron and ironing board listed as part of the room amenities on the booking platform. Due to a language barrier, communication with the staff member was difficult, and I was told vaguely that “my friend will come.” To clarify, I called reception, where the staff did speak English. However, the response I received was abrupt and came across as rude—I was told, “It’s coming, can you not wait two minutes?” This tone was unnecessary, especially as I was simply asking for something that was advertised as included. When the iron finally arrived, it was in extremely poor and concerning condition. The cable had visible damage and was wrapped in tape in multiple places, which felt unsafe, and it leaked water onto the floor when used. I called reception again to report that it was not suitable for use due to safety concerns. A replacement iron was then sent up—but incredibly, this one was in even worse condition, with exposed wires. This is not only unacceptable for a hotel of this standard but poses a serious safety risk. Unfortunately, this set the tone for the rest of our stay. Interactions with staff were consistently unfriendly and dismissive, which made us feel unwelcome. Overall, while the basic facilities may be adequate, the level of service, attention to detail, and attitude from staff significantly impacted our experience. For a hotel positioning itself as five-star, we expected a much higher standard of hospitality, professionalism, and above all, safety.
