The hotel was clean and service good and distance from center of town less than 5 mintues walk. The complains are the noise and how small the room was. The windows and doors are thin and allow the sounds to pass through as if they were open. The bathroom door was less than 6 foot high and you had to duck to get in the bathroom orbump your head if you didn't duck. No fan in the room can't open the open because there were no screens. The room would be okay for an night or two but not for periods greater than a week.

The staff were great, very friendly. The building and decorations were great; the breakfast room was sensationally decorated with loads of artifacts. The breakfast was very good and extensive. The location was o.k., a walk uphill back from the centre of town though. At the time of our stay in July the terrace had two tables and one umbrella; more furniture and some potted plants would have made it a great place to relax. The only negative was the beds (very hard) and due to the design of the building with rooms off a long wooden corridor it was a very noisy place - lots of Europeans talking loudly and slaming doors very late at night; difficult for staff to manage. Also there were some families staying and the children wandered freely in the bar area; hard to have a quiet drink and talk about the day when teenagers have taken over an area - maybe some areas should be "adults only" rather than leaving it up to the families to be considerate of other guests.
