We absolutely loved our stay at Bakubung Bush Lodge. The food was amazing, the staff were incredible, and the game drives were a real highlight of the trip. Every single member of staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful — it genuinely felt like being part of one big family rather than staying at a hotel.
The rooms were lovely, comfortable and perfect after long days out on safari. The spa was also excellent and a great way to relax between drives.
We actually loved Bakubung so much that we cancelled the second part of our holiday at another hotel just so we could book an extra night here and come back! That probably says more than anything else could.
An unforgettable experience from start to finish — we would return in a heartbeat.

While the staff at Bakubung Bush Lodge were incredibly caring and attentive, and the reception process was well-explained, there were a few issues that impacted our stay. The room itself was spacious, but we were given two double beds instead of the queen we had booked. Additionally, some of the in-room amenities were problematic; the television remote control didn't work, and the hairdryer was fixed to a specific location next to the window, making it impossible to use where it was needed. Despite these minor inconveniences, the excellent service from the staff was a significant positive.
The safaris were great. We saw all animals (albeit some from afar) that we were expecting to see.
