New management was in the process of upgrading the property. Very helpful staff. Very nice people.
When I asked for another blanket I was given a very warm comforter that improved my stay.
The manager was concerned with organic foods, solar heated water, and water conservation.
Very reasonably priced with excellent value for the price.

Pros:
* Great location, in the heart of Thamel
* Comfortable bed
* Reasonably clean: chair hadn’t been cleaned for years, bathroom had mould on ceiling but apart from that was OK
Cons:
* Lack of hot water. It was supposed to be available twice a day (3 hours in morning, 3 hours in evening) but we were lucky if we got a full bucket of warm water.
* No TV as advertised but that didn’t bother us
