    Our recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, both in terms of the condition of the property and, more concerningly, how management handled an alleged damage claim after checkout. The hotel is dated, poorly maintained and clearly in need of significant upkeep. The bathrooms in the foyer had an unpleasant smell, with toilet paper and paper towels scattered across the floor. The air conditioning in our bedroom did not work, and when we contacted reception, the only solution offered was to bring up a fan. However, the most concerning part of our experience occurred after checkout. We received a phone call from hotel staff alleging that we had damaged linen, towels, carpets and a wardrobe mirror. We were subsequently charged approximately $800 to our credit card without any prior discussion, supporting evidence, itemised invoice or opportunity to dispute the allegations. I immediately requested photographic evidence and provided the manager with my email address. Five days later, we have received absolutely nothing. No photographs, no explanation and no justification for the amount charged. We strongly dispute these allegations, particularly the claim regarding the broken mirror, which we neither observed nor caused to our knowledge. I find it completely unacceptable for a hotel to debit a guest’s card for hundreds of dollars based on unsubstantiated allegations and then fail to provide the evidence requested. Given the already poor condition and maintenance standards of the property, I am particularly concerned about how the hotel determines responsibility for alleged damage. We will be formally disputing the charge and reporting the matter to Consumer and Business Services South Australia. An extremely poor experience from start to finish. We certainly will not be returning and would caution prospective guests to be mindful of the hotel’s practices regarding post-checkout charges.

    Great location by the beach. Very close to lots of amazing foods. Convenient and the staff are amazing 🤩

    Fantastic location which is why we chose to stay here. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The ocean view rooms get very hot in the afternoon sun but the view is gorgeous. The city view rooms get a LOT of noise from the street - I could hear it until the wee hours of the morning despite being on the 6th floor and wearing earplugs - definitely don’t recommend staying in one of these rooms on a Friday or Saturday night. The bathroom was pretty dated especially the shower-over-bath with a cheap plastic curtain. Nescafé blend43 is a crime against humanity.
