I recently stayed at Mantra Tonsley Adelaide and found it to be a solid choice for exploring southern Adelaide. The location is a major plus, being right near the Tonsley Innovation District, which hosts a fantastic Sunday market. It’s also very convenient for public transport, with easy access to both buses and trains. However, do keep in mind that it is still a 20+ minute journey into the Adelaide CBD. The room itself felt fairly luxurious and was cleaned every day. I had no complaints regarding the quality of the accommodation, though I was surprised to find no cutlery, bowls, or plates in my room, which made snacking a bit difficult despite the modern amenities. There were a few minor inconveniences during my trip: Parking Challenges: On-site parking is quite limited. Since I hired a car for most of my stay, I frequently had to use a gated outdoor car space nearby, which was about a 5-minute walk from the lobby. Nearby Construction: There is a significant amount of roadwork and construction happening in the immediate vicinity. While it didn't bother me too much, it could be unpleasant for travellers looking for a completely serene environment. Overall, it’s a modern and clean retreat that offers great value, provided you’re prepared for a bit of a walk to your car!

Would absolutely recommend this hotel. The staff were awesome adding that personal experience. The rooms were lovely, modern, very spacious and clean. Definitely value for money.

I was surprised to find out that Mantra Hotel only accepts card payments. This policy was never communicated clearly before my stay, and it caused unnecessary inconvenience. While the staff and service were fine, I cannot support a business that refuses cash payments. From now on, I will avoid staying at any place with such a restrictive payment policy.
