Came to this awesome hostel with my cousin, who had never stayed in a dorm. The staff at the front desk upgraded us to a private room which definitely put my cousin, with all his camera equipment at ease. I enjoyed the common room with an above average breakfast included. We received a very clean 4-bed room with private bath for our family of 4. The breakfast buffet was great and we were able to do some laundry there as well. We would have stayed another night, but the hostel was full. The only downside was the limited space for parking.

We enjoyed our stay, the informal atmosphere, the diversity of the guests, from families with young children, young adults, to seniors speaking multiple languages. The communal eating room enhanced the multi-cultural experience. This is a very hip place.

Family trip to hike and visit friends in the Allgau. Met a lot of great people. Very friendly.

This place was fantastic. It is a nearly new Hostel with great people working there. Keep in mind this is a hostel, not a hotel. The difference is no towels, soaps, etc, and you make your own beds. Low cost and low service. There is no A/C but most nights it cools down nicely and there are nice large windows to bring in outside air. Great job folks, keep it up

Great youth hostel. Good Points - great friendly welcome from Fabien and 1 other. After a long drive great to have such a welcome. We were able to check in early. Great cinema room for kids with huge screen TV and play station. Bar football game room. Fab kitchen facilities. Balcony on room overlooking stream. Clean and comfortable room. Great wet shower room. Atmospheric dining room. Bad points - not made clear, although likely to be a language problem, we were told about dinner deal main course and pud and drink for €7 - bargain. So came back from day out planning on eating in and very much looking forward to it, sat down at table with kids , all ready then found out you had to book it earlier in afternoon, so we couldn't eat in house and had to go back into Oberstdorf to supermarket to buy food, from where we had just spent the afternoon, and it was pelting down with rain. Felt like crying, put a bit of a downer on things.Gutted as looked gorgeous and lovely dining room to eat in too!!! A real shame. Still working on grounds of Hostel, diggers and dump trucks - so a bit noisy till 9pm at night. Plus they were driving through main parking area, saw lorry at one stage rip top of balcony wooden panel, so a bit worrying parking your car there!!!
