An interesting historical building with great views over the Solent and Isle of Wight.
Our comfy room was compact but well furnished. The ensuite was of a good standard too.
Our evening meal was very enjoyable and the staff were very pleasant and attentive.
We will visit again as the location allows for further exploration along the coast.

Because of some of the previous negative reviews that I had seen, I thought long and hard before I booked us for a two night stay for our anniversary, but I needn’t have worried, as our stay was delightful.
The location and the characterful nature of the building are stunning and everything inside seems to be very well maintained. Our room was a bit of a climb to get to, but it was a delightful, comfortable place to stay.
The staff were all delightful and efficient and the breakfasts were really good.
I am sure that we will be returning.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach House but were disappointed to be staying in the Annex rather than the old house. There was nothing on the booking that indicated we would be in the Annex. Maybe this was because we got the room for a reduced price on Agoda but it would have been nice to know. When we booked it there was a question asking if we wanted a double or twin beds. We opted for twin but it was a double (which didn't really matter). The room was nice enough but was on the ground floor looking out over the car park. Our booking confirmation said that we would have a sea view. I guess we could have complained but didn't have the energy to do so. Although the room was fairly spacious there was little in the way of storage. There were hangers on hooks on the wall for clothes (no wardrobe). There was no where to put your toiletries in the bathroom. We were only there for one night so it didn't really matter. The mattress was a bit hard - I found it okay but my partner said it made his back ache. The ambience in the main house was lovely. We ate in the dining room which was nice. The food was a bit pricey but good. There was a nice choice at breakfast which was tasty. It was nice to be able to walk through the hotel garden to the sea.
