    The reason that I wouldn't recommend is due to receiving a confirmed booking and then when we arrived, we were told (along with numerous others) that in spite of receiving a booking confirmation, they didn't have a room for us because of a mix up with the reservation system. We were in a position where we didn't have many choices. I asked if they had a room available and they confirmed that they did, but it was going to be about €65 more per night than what we had booked. Also, it was not the room type of our choice. We wanted separate beds, but that wasn't available and it was the last room they had available. The room itself was tiny, which I expect in Paris, but it was barely functional with our bags (and we travel with carry-on only amounts of bags) in the room. It seems like thay room would be well suited for one person, but much less comfortable for two people. Looking at the layout map of the floor, *** which was our room, is the smallest room. The room was clean and tidy. The soundproofing could have used a little help. The hotel itself is fine and the staff were cordial, but this booking issue was a HUGE issue. Honestly, I would stay there again if I could be sure that I actually had my confirmed room! In the two nights we stayed there, we heard of many additional people who had the same problem with the booking, so it seems like the hotel didn't reach out to the booking agency (booking.com/agoda.com) to get anything resolved so additional people didn't wind up in the same situation as we were in. The location is very nice—directly across from the entrance of Jardin de Plantes and a metro stop is about a 5 minute walk away. There are many places to eat and the location seemed safe for being out both in the morning and at night. It is an active area since it is near the Sorbonne.

    The hotel is perfectly situated on a quiet area close to many attractions but away from too many tourists. Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

    Located at walking distance from many popular places and a metro station is almost next to it. The personnel is very friendly and the breakfast is great. On the negative side, tiny rooms and serious need of renovation.
