    Hotel itself is nice and convenient - short distance to subway station and restaurants etc. Room was small but clean and nice. Bed linen could be softer. Washroom was small and the sink faucet was super annoying. The worst aspect and what made the hotel unbearable was the slow internet. Felt like dial up which in today’s climate is a non-negotiable.

    Just outside of the Ueno district, LANDABOUT is located conveniently close to the Uguisudani station. The location is great for travellers, even those moving around with luggages, and not too busy an area so there is no need to fight for a place during transport. Just note that the hotel is further from city center like Shibuya and Shinjuku. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and breakfast at this hotel is a small outfit but well-organized. The rooms are small (as per usual Tokyo standards), but kept clean and functional for travellers.

    Staff were very helpful. On the last day we dropped our luggage at the reception for the luggage pick up service by Airporter. Everything was smooth. Room was clean. It was my third time of stay here. Close to ueno making it very accessible to Shinkansen and Skyliner. Highly recommend!

    I had a great stay at Landabout Hotel Uguisudani. The location was very convenient with easy access to the Yamanote Line, which made getting to and from the airport simple. I also appreciated being able to leave my luggage at the hotel before the 3 pm check-in. The room was clean, comfortable and exactly what I'd expect from a standard Tokyo hotel room. A nice bonus was being able to borrow a hair straightener and curling iron in one, which I returned before checkout. There are both a FamilyMart and 7-Eleven within a short walk, which made grabbing snacks and essentials very easy. I know some travellers may be concerned about the love hotels in the area, but as a solo female traveller I never felt unsafe walking between the station and the hotel, even at night. I was sensible and didn't linger, but I had no issues. One tip is to be careful on the stairs near the train station when it's raining as they can become quite slippery. If you have luggage, the pedestrian bridge has a lift on the right-hand side when heading towards the hotel, and it was working for most of my stay. The rooftop terrace is worth visiting for the views of Tokyo Skytree. It's also easy to reach Asakusa with a short bus ride. Overall, I'd happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable base in Tokyo.
