Stay was just as advertised- from the outside you can't tell this place is an Oasis. Breakfast was great. We got to meet the owner- very nice and friendly. He gave us a tip on where to eat in Tamorindo and we ended up going there and loving it. Pool and hot tub were great. Had safe on site parking.

Very cozy with all shared balcony and the hot tub was a huge plus! A true oasis in the city!

Hotel was unique- very cool. Pool area great, breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful.
It would have been nice to have a communal fridge on first floor and an ice machine (or access to ice).

Hotel Santo Tomas is a great find in the heart of old San Jose. From the outside it looks like nothing special, but once you get in, you realize it has lots of charm, a super hospitable staff, and a true historic feel. It’s not a typical tourist hotel but that’s part of the charm. I really enjoyed my stay there and recommend it warmly.
