Super friendly and helpful receptionist who was a lifesaver when I left my purse in the room and had to quickly do an Uber run to avoid missing my bus.

Nothing much. The room was rather dingy but the bed was comfortable. If you want to spend a night on a budget, this may not be a bad place but you can get something better by paying a few more dollars. The location is central, but beware of junkies in the neighbourhood (they usually aren't violent).
The room was quite dingy and rundown. My room was next to the toilet area. Thankfully, it didn't smell much there. Maybe because the hostel was a bit empty at that time. Shared toilets were rather clean. The owner, a cute grandma, doesn't speak any English so keep Google Translate handy
