Staff helpful, small room but clean . Nice continental breakfast. Only issue the room faces a busy street so a lot of road noise for us light sleepers

Not rustic charm, truth is maintenance just not performed. Windows broken (won't start open and won't completely shut). Bathroom sink water faucet and shower run (won't shut off) and diversion valve for shower broken so more water flows to tub than shower head. Tub and sink old and stained, carpet worn, towels and sheets are well beyond their service life. "Upgraded City View" room is on the street with windows that don't seal making the noise defining - and there's no "view" because the windows are so dirty you don't need to use the drapes for privacy. Overall, a bargain $50 motel chain provides a similar experience. One positive point, staff very polite.

Pillows were dirty. Very noisy all night. Road noise but not the hotels fault.

Cute and comfortable

The room was small and cramped, difficult to set up pack n play and walk around it. Bathroom was very outdated and looked unclean. The shades are not black out and light pours in from the street all night, as well as sounds from cars and motorcycles. Walls are thin, we heard neighbors slamming drawers all night and children slamming doors/running down the hallways loudly while trying to sleep. The fridge in the room froze all our food, including baby’s milk. Overall just not a pleasant experience.

Super nice front desk staff, professional but funny. Asked for recommendations & she gave me a few different ideas. Excellent service. Rooms are small but it's okay

Great location to downtown

Nice hotel.. small bathroom, descent breakfast. A bit of a walk from the parking lot..

This is an older hotel, it was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much, but there are some inconveniences because of it being an older building. The parking is across the street from the main hotel, and our room was surprisingly tiny with a king bed, but that is more to let people know, it didn’t bother us. The only actual thing I would have liked to see different was to add a garbage bin to the room or have some larger bins available somewhere in the hotel. One small bin in the bathroom is not enough, especially if you do not otherwise need your room cleaned daily.

Right in the heart of town. Nice breakfast. However the parking lot isn’t large enough if both hotel and motel are full. Still street parking is an option most days. We had a hard time and had to park several blocks away because it was a Friday night

Perfect location in downtown old Sonora, walking to shops and restaurants. Old school charm and very good staff.

The hotel itself is amazing, super cool history and comfortable beds with very cold rooms and a free breakfast. I loved my stay here! Only downside is loud motorcycles/cars that go down main street, but that isn’t really Sonora inns fault. It stopped pretty consistently around 10-11pm though :)

Room was ok….restroom door could not close due to a raised floor. I know it’s an older hotel, but the upkeep of it is lacking. Parking was difficult.

Its ok. Had to park across the street. Saturday night no parking. No water pressure in shower. Never seen a bar of soap so small. Maybe 2 oz of shampoo in tube. It was quiet and it was clean. We would rate it about 3.

I liked the location.. was walkable to all kinds of shopping and food . The room was very cute.. it did need some attention to some issues.. the shower was not working properly and the faucet in the bathroom was also not working properly.. but it was still a very cute place to stay

For the price (very reasonable) it was excellent. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Couldn’t fault it. Would definitely use again if passing through.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. I chose the Sonora Inn because in the pictures it looks pretty, classic, well cared for, and the location was great. Problems: 1) It is not well cared for. It is run down with seemingly little care to upkeep. Old, torn flags fly. 2)The building inside is a patchwork of remodels. 3) We were assigned a room that was very hard to get to, up and down stairs and around corners. 4) The bathroom in our room was closet sized and added on inside the room space. It was so small you could hit your head getting off the toilet. 5) The breakfast and breakfast area was so bad, it would have been better had they not had it. A staff person stood by the food to make sure you did not turn the knob on the toaster. There was no place to sit. We gave up and went down the street for coffee and bagel.

Time to remodel the whole hotel especially room bathroom. Need to replace new mattress.

The customer service here is impeccable! The staff went out of their way to treat the family and dog like their own family. The breakfast was nice had a variety of choices. The pool was so refreshing especially since it was so hot when we went. The only thing that could use some help was the room appearance. They are doing a good job preserving the orinal look but the bathtub tile was chipping and the toilet flushed very loud

This property needs remodeling

Highly recommend staying here with its central location in the downtown and nearby hiking and adventure sites. The room is fine for a couple, but somewhat long and narrow. The AC cooled the room well and was not in the bedroom which kept the noise down. Bed was comfortable. Strangely the front desk staff had a pattern of being distant or grumpy, but not that important an issue. Overall, this was a perfect place to stay after a late night concert at Ironstone in Murphys.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Property, which we were told was recently renovated, did not meet the same standards. we had a room with cracked tiles in the shower, holes in the wall where the towel racks had been removed and you had to lift the toilet seat to close the bathroom door. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Maybe my expectations were too much for a “historic” hotel in an old gold rush town.

People working there are the best. They are friendly and always provide excellent service. Hotel is old and smelly though. It needs a new carpet, or a good clean up.
