Fantastic location right on the beach. Plenty of Ubers around. Very safe. The desk is open late for late flight check ins. However you do get what you pay for, the place is a little bit old and run down. It's safe and convenient, but rooms are basic and can feel a little dinghy. Strong A/C, spotty wifi. Nice enough staff. Also there is breakfast outside on the front deck that is beautiful right on the water with fresh juice.

The facilities, the hotel and the staff are great. Finding parking was a little challenging. This hotel does not have parking at the location so you have to go to a paid public parking down the road park on the side of the street where it is allowed or there is a parking garage straight across from it, but it is quite expensive other than that the hotel itself, and the staff were amazing the beach and the surroundings and the entertainment food. All of it was the best we really enjoyed it.

I would strongly discourage anyone from booking Sandy Beach Hotel unless you confirm every room detail well ahead of time and get it in writing. They did not provide the correct room that was booked, and what should have been a simple check-in turned into hours of stress, confusion, and wasted time.
I was bounced between the hotel and customer service, given inconsistent information, and despite the reservation problem not being my fault, I was still expected to pay and was refused a refund. The manager was also extremely unhelpful and rude, which made the situation even worse.
Also, while the hotel is near the beach, the water was too rough to really enjoy for swimming. My advice: double-check your room type, bed setup, and all reservation details far in advance, because if something is wrong, do not expect them to handle it fairly.

Hallway our room was located was leaking water up and down. Terrible smell when you enter hotel. Charge $200 for deposit, when Hyatt only charges $100. Table right outside door to enter hotel, so you’re basically hitting people with your luggage as you enter the hotel. It’s really a hotel if you just came to party, not really for families. Really needs to be updated
