Stayed one night in Scandic Kallio in a single room. The room was clean and basic, everything you would need for a short stay. I did not use the shower which is quite compact. I used instead the sauna facilities which I highly recommend. Location is within 30-40 minutes walk from the center. All the public transport is also on the doorstep such as buses, trams and the metro within a short distance. I would recommend to stay in this hotel if you are looking for a basic and reasonably priced accommodation for your stay in Helsinki.

Good hotel with convenient public transport right outside. The room was nice and clean and the receptionist very friendly. Overall good value for money and a very positive experience

The hotel is like they all are in general. The location is good for those who want to take part in the events at the Culture House. It is a bit far from the city center, but the tram connection to all parts of Helsinki is very good. This excellent tram connection is also the reason why we left the hotel sleepless and tired. Apparently the hotel has old windows that let in street noise. The tram service was only interrupted for about five hours at night, and this also marked the sleeping hours of our small group. The fact that our room was on the 8th floor didn't save us either. Otherwise, the hotel is normal. The rooms are small, the breakfast is like everywhere else.
