Central Park Hotel

**10/10 – I would absolutely stay here again.** I stayed in one of the newly refurbished Single Rooms and was genuinely so impressed. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovation externally, but once you walk into the lobby, it feels like a proper hotel. The lobby may be a little dated compared with the newly renovated rooms, but it is nicely furnished and has a sense of class that immediately separates it from a typical budget hotel. The location is AMAZING. I loved that it was incredibly convenient while still feeling much calmer and more removed from the huge Central London crowds. Queensway Tube station is only a very short walk away, with Bayswater station also nearby. On the next street there is a whole strip of shops and restaurants, including Sainsbury's and Tesco, and there's even a Barry's nearby. Hyde Park is also right there. The newly refurbished room itself was gorgeous. It's small, as you'd expect for a London single room, but there was more than enough space for me as a solo traveller. The décor really surprised me — beautiful textured wallpaper, thoughtful finishes and furniture that felt sturdy and expensive rather than cheap or temporary. The room had so much more character than I expected. And THE BED. Possibly my favourite hotel bed of the trip! The duvet was properly thick and plush rather than the thin bedding you sometimes get in more affordable hotels, the sheets felt lovely, and the whole bed was incredibly cosy. Even the bed frame felt substantial and premium. There is storage underneath for luggage, plus a huge bay window ledge that was big enough for my large suitcase and could also be used as additional seating. There are thoughtful little details too, including controls right beside the bed and a bedside light with a dimmer, which made the room so cosy at night. The air-conditioning deserves its own mention. I stayed during a heatwave and it was an absolute lifesaver! It was a system I hadn't encountered before, but it worked incredibly well and kept the room properly cold. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious with a great shower, good water pressure and Rituals toiletries, which was such a nice touch. My only minor issue was that some water escaped into the rest of the bathroom while showering, and there isn't really a ledge or counter to put your toiletries on. Neither was enough to bother me significantly. Housekeeping was good and I appreciated having the room serviced. There can be some noise in the corridor during housekeeping rounds, and the room doors need to be pulled firmly to close, which can make them quite loud. Again, minor issues for me. My room's view wasn't anything special due to the nearby building and current scaffolding, but I honestly didn't care. The room itself felt so cosy and almost exclusive that I loved coming back to it. I booked very last minute so my rate was quite expensive, but the quality of the refurbished room genuinely impressed me. The combination of the location, fantastic AC, beautiful décor, incredibly comfortable bed and thoughtful room design made this one of my favourite stays. I would 100% stay here again — especially if I could get one of these newly refurbished rooms.

Great location if you want to explore Sydney, walk to everywhere, ferries, train , light rail , pubs and eateries everywhere Can not fault,

The room was big enough for 3 adults. There were 2 window ledges where we placed a 30” luggage each. During our stay, there were renovation works going on but the noise didn’t bother us. What bothered us was the fact that there was only 1 lift working having to transport the entire hotel & their staff every single day. Most times we ended up taking the stairs up & down not because we could not wait for the lift but because it would get too full for anyone to enter. When we arrived, we were provided with 3 bottles of water in the mini fridge but they were not being replenished for the subsequent days. Other than that, the location was great. Easy to get around anywhere you’d want to go around London with multiple busses & train lines to choose from. It was a huge plus point that each room had individual air conditioning. We needed it to survive the heatwave. Would return again!

The room doesn’t have phones, the reception was arguing after asking for wakeup knocks, there is no good AC, its only water conditioning AC. There was a smell in the room. And this is all in the new renovation rooms , the only good thing is the location.
