    We made sure that our door was locked but someone entered our room. The tap somehow was damaged when we checked in. So the cold tap isnt working

    We stayed here for my aunt's Birthday party. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room but spacious, clean and warm. The negatives were, there was no lock on the bathroom door and only 3 x sachets of milk for tea and coffee for 2 people, I had to use 2 just for 1 drink. Overall a pleasant stay.

    I was not expecting much to be honest - but I have to say all in all it was definitely better than I expected. Our standard non-sea- view room was very large by most room standards and clean. Communal areas were quite dusty / bit shabby in places and rather dated but nothing too terrible The building itself is very beautiful actually and historic - it just needs a lot of love and money spent on it to bring it back to its glory days (and doubt that’s going to happen any time soon!). Staff were pleasant enough, was able to park outside, and it suited our needs for an overnight stay in St Leonard’s / Hastings at a fair price while attending a function elsewhere. We didn’t have breakfast but had some drinks at the bar and that was pleasant.
