Świetna lokalizacja, wszędzie blisko. Bardzo miłym gestem było udostępnienie przez Właściciela 2. doładowanych kart miejskich do użytku przez gości. Starczyło spokojnie dla wszystkich na 4 dni na wszystkie przejazdy po mieście i poza nie (Gaztelugatxe). Pomimo, że mieszkanie w centrum, jest ono raczej ciche (ale dla bardziej wrażliwych gości przygotowano tez zatyczki do uszu). Kawa, herbata, AGD, wifi - wszystko w mieszkaniu, do użytku gości i sprawne. Nie napotkałem tylko otwieracza do wina :):):) Ogólnie - super lokalizacja, przemiły Gospodarz, polecam bez cienia wątpliwości!

Casa antigua en el casco viejo de Bilbao, renovada con mucho gusto. Muy bien ubicada. He estado muy a gusto.

Luis was very kind and met me at the apartment to give me the keys, maps, metro cards (very generous, even though we didn’t use them). He shared information with me about where to park that helped me find the most convenient place a 10 minute walk from the apartment. The location is great for visiting Bilbao and in spite of being in the city center, I found it very quiet. The apartment is quite big so staying there with a friend was very comfortable, giving us each our space, own rooms and to not feel crowded. The kitchen was well-equipped. I only didn’t find dishwashing soap and I’m sorry that I left the machine with dirty dishes in it because of that and because of the timing of our departure. I had some initial trouble with the reservation on booking.com and Luis was insistent to reimburse me for the price difference which I really appreciated. I felt he is someone with high integrity and strong, positive values which is good to find in a commercial ‘relationship’.

The weather was not great while we were there, but this is obviously not the fault of Luis and his mother. The apartment has a lot of potential with old and uneven internal architecture, beams, wood floors. I had trouble one day opening the door, but I think it’s because my hands were a bit cold after a run in the rain and I couldn’t turn the key. The electricity went out twice while we were there (while using the stove one day and while using the water kettle another). Luis had told me what to do if this happened, and it wasn’t an issue that impacted our stay there in any way, but it is probably a sign of an older infrastructure.
