Dahab Motel

To be able to cook for myself. Location is good for a local supermarket, Lagoon Beach and the Mashraba, the Town's hub.

I liked all of it. A few things like a towel, a few knives & forks, a bit of attention to bathroom plumbing. Locks (which could do with a drop of oil). Nothing that would stop me from visiting again but would improve the place substantially.

The place has definitely potential. The bedroom was nice size, the bed was comfortable. The kitchen had the essentials to cook. There is a big garden in the back yard and a big roof top terrace which isn’t open yet but has lots of potential. The staff was always friendly and offered help. The location close to the beach is great. There is a small supermarket & fresh produce shop just few steps away. Upon request they cleaned my room some days later very good, as the floors could need some better cleaning.

When arriving I expect the the room to be ready. It wasn’t. I had to ask for clean bed sheets and that the bathroom gets cleaned. I booked a room with a double bed, but when I arrived it was still booked so they gave me 2 single beds. The next day I could change apartment which was great. It had clean sheets and a clean bathroom - like it should be always when guests check in. It’s generally not such a quiet area. There is always some traffic, sometimes more - sometimes less. And construction nearby as well. Some nights there were doors slamming late in the night which I was hoping other guests would be way more considerate and respectful for the night time. It stopped after complaining. It’s not nice to complain because I would expect minimum requirements & minimum manners to be met. But if you do, the stuff helps to sort it out.
