If people makes your trip then this is the place to go. Ela and her staff are as sweetest as could be, willing to go beyond all expectations. Breakfast in the garden was wonderful. New items added every day. The garden was beautiful and the atmosphere relaxing. The hotel easy to find from the ferry terminal. Restaurants of all sorts close by. The rooms themselves are old-time, tall ceiling guest rooms with a newish bathroom added to each room. The rooms feel all old gone-by heydays which was so nice.

The bathrooms have not worn well (but then it can be difficult to add to an older building if on a budget).

Charming old hotel in a great location. Garden is beautiful. The hosts were so lovely and friendly. Aircon worked well and there was a small fridge with water which was great.

Excellent location in a quiet zone very close to the center, the ferry, the restaurants and shops; very interesting historical building, beautiful garden - and a cute little dog! I had a big room; my friend's was smaller, but both had high ceilings, high windows with garden view and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was served in the garden (with some delay, but life on the Islands goes in its own rhythm - that's why people visit them!), and was rich and tasty; we were even offered an aniversary chocolate cake with two tiny candles, since both my birthday and my friend's have fallen during the travel. Ella is a nice and attentive host, although managing such a large old house is not easy at all. Thank you, Ella!

With a bit more organization (or with some extra help, maybe), Anthea Butik could become a dream palace, and Ella, a fairy queen - or a host-Peri!
