The landlady (who lives in a flat above) uses a third party service to handle bookings through Booking. They give limited check in and check out times on the form but are much more flexible when you contact them after booking. To pick up the keys we had to call them to call her to come and open the door. After we were just dealing with her directly and everything was much easier.
Normally we'd be a bit cautious about having a host living literally on top of us, but she is absolutely lovely and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. She offered to order take out for us when we arrived very late at night, one day when we were out on the balcony she hung down a bag of ice creams on a rope, and when we were waiting to leave she gave us some gorgeous homemade food and some cold beers. Just be aware that the apartment is in a residential building in a fairly residential area, so if you like to sit out playing loud music or partying it's probably not the place for you.
The apartment itself is gorgeous and kept spotlessly clean. The views are simply stunning, with the front balcony (which easily fits two) looking straight out over the sea, and the back/service balcony and back windows having a view of the beach to the north.
The location is also excellent. It's about a 5 minute walk to the central area of the city around the lake to the south, there's a local supermarket which is open on Sundays, and to the north is a lovely beach and some of the best restaurants and bars in the city. Perfect for the relaxing break we needed.
Being picky, there is some occasionally noisy building work going on nearby, but it's Greece so that's par for the course and is probably more noticeable just because the area is very quiet most of the time.
