The Tachbrook - Historic Georgian Townhouses Victoria

We appreciated the price of the Tachbrook. London is expensive and this property shaved off so much cost yet was perfectly situated for our purposes. We enjoyed experiencing the style of the Georgian home where we stayed and it's closeness to tourist sites, to a grocery store and restaurants, a post office, and to public transit systems. I appreciated the orderliness of the property with labels in the kitchen and an electronic link that allowed one to see when the communal bathrooms were vacant. The Tachbrook personnel were friendly and quick to respod to our questions and concerns. I especially appreciated that they had a secure storage closet where we could leave our bags when we arrived early and also when we needed to check out before departure from the city.

The hardest part of our stay here was that England was experiencing a record high heat wave and we were on the top floor of this old historic home in a nation that does not have air conditioning. We come from the USA where AC is a staple! You could only open our bedroom window 4 inches and there was a dinky fan that offered no relief. Our room felt like an oven. It was hotter in our room than outside by evening but there was nothing we could do to truly kill the heat. In addition, it was difficult to carry our luggage to the top floor of the property. We did not like removing our shoes to get to our floor. It was hard to maneuver the tight space to even accomplish that request. It was not especially convenient to share bathrooms yet the electronic capability of seeing if the bathroom was available made a huge difference to that problem. I think we need to revisit this property during a less hot time of the year! I appreciated the Tachbrook's wish to meet our needs. I will retain fond memories of this trip despite the intense heat!

Die Lage war sehr gut.

Das Zimmer war für den Preis sehr klein und das Bad befindet sich 2 Etagen darunter. Das Bad war leider oft besetzt. Es war sehr warm im Zimmer und es hat penetrant gerochen.
