Apartment MONA

The living room is spacious and overall the apartment was clean. Good a/c too. The shower was great and in my case didn’t leak/flood. Lidl across the road!

The bedroom inside the glass box is somewhat odd. You can literally only fit the bed in. The bed linen could do with an upgrade, as could the pillows. Generally kitchen has good utensils but some better knives, wooden spoons, another chopping board, a bottle opener - would all be useful. The walk from the station is soulless and not great at night.

Very well designed apartment and excellent support from the host! Tip: Walk through the park opposite to the centre.. much more pleasant! Lidl opposite the apartment.

Appartamento moderno, pulito e confortevole. Situato di fronte al parco Tivoli e a poco più di 1 km dal centro (15 minuti a piedi). Wi-Fi e aria condizionata presenti. Parcheggio gratuito e tranquillo esattamente davanti alla porta di casa. Buon punto d’appoggio per visitare Lubiana

Simona is charming and communication was excellent. She was quick to respond to difficulties and offer solutions. It is a pity she lives rather far away and is unable to attend more directly to the running of the establishment. The adjoining main road to the centre is busy and unpleasant to walk along but cross the road and take a pleasant walk to town through Tivoli Park. Good bus service into town. Buses to Bled and other destinations pass along the main street. Well-stocked nEspresso machine! Washing machine and dryer all functional.

What you think of a place much depends on where you have been before and how much you have travelled. But if you feel you could live where you are staying, then that is the mark of really good accommodation. Does Apartment Mona live up to that expectation?. We leave you to judge. The water heater was quirky and unreliable. The rain dance shower is badly installed and as much water is sprayed outside the shower as inside. It leaks from the door. The wash basin is a triumph of design over common sense. Water goes everywhere! The bedroom is very strangely designed. It is tucked into a small space and enclosed by a glass screen which makes it difficult to get in and out of bed without disturbing one of its occupants! The sofa bed can be used as an alternative, on the other hand. Good to sleep on but not to sit on. The advertised ‘balcony’ does not exist and the ‘patio’ is not what we understand as a patio. Where is the ‘desk’?
