Great place with great view and great location. Host worked hard to satisfy any issues and would rank them highly in responsiveness. The place itself is outstanding. Nicely renovated and very clean.

1) Hated that we got hit with a surprise 600Euro deposit or buy insurance the day before checking in. Had to pay that outside the booking platform which became an issue because of out-of-country credit card verification. Just put this amount in the cost of the place if being insured is important - Don't surprise your guest with an unexpected charge like this, 2) You have to go the feelhome office to pick up keys and then haul your luggage 20-30 minutes to the actual rental. In this age of lockboxes/electronic entry this felt antiquated and definitely burdensome! We had to take 2 ubers to get to the rental office and then to the unit. The hosts said something about our arriving so late that was the issue - but it wasn't. We had to go to both places regardless of when we arrived so that felt disingenuous. 3) After all that we arrived to a steep 5-story walk-up w/ no guard rails. Not a deal killer but insult to injury. If a lot of stairs are an issue be forewarned. If you're fine w/ steep stairs then no worries.

The apartment was a 15-minute walk from Old Town and many of the surrounding shops and restaurants. Great location right off the promenade. Overlooking the harbor which was beautiful. The neighborhood was safe and in a quiet area. The tram that goes to the airport was a 5-minute walk outside the building which was super convenient. The tram also stops at many of the main attractions within Nice. Fantastic to visit all neighborhoods. Nice was very impressive, we visited Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze, Antibes, Cannes, Menton and San Remo Italy during our stay. Perfect location to travel all within 15-30 minutes by train to visit neighboring towns. A 5-minute walk to the beach as well. Cannot wait to go back!!! Nice is a must see.

The building does not have a working elevator and there are 90 steps to the apartment. This was really a climb. Spiral staircase all the way to the top floor. Definitely inconvenient making that climb daily. Also, the apartment only had a very small washing machine and no dryer.
