Easy check-in and check-out, good communication with the host and requests fulfilled quickly. The name showing up on Grab is BB Green Health Centre and not K Inn 55. Good location, about 25mn walk to the jetties, 20ish to Penang Art Street, and 10mn or so to Chinatown. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby and the Glass Museum is next door. The room was nice, the mattresses were hard but still comfortable. The curtains facing the street were blackouts which I appreciated. Having a washing machine was handy, especially with the powder provided. One shower stall also had shampoo and body wash which was a nice surprise. The street is mostly quiet at night.

Sound carries easily whether down the hall, rooms sharing a wall, or people sitting in the small outdoor area at the back of the rooms so quietness levels vary with guests. The curtains facing that area are not blackout which made it hard to sleep when the outside light is on all night (until I found the light switch and turned it off). Bathroom cleanliness also varies with guests but overall good - one of the "stalls" was too cramped for me to want to use for a shower.

the room itself felt clean, you get what you pay for, wardrobe was useful and the staff were always friendly. close enough to the main town which make access on foot easy

the room was smaller than we realised, the window we had led to a shared outdoor area and there was a light that stayed on until very late at night. the kitchen didn’t feel sanitary but we were able to make basic quick meals like instant noodles. the area itself didn’t feel safe but it was only a short walk to the main town.
