The lrish House

Convenient location. I was allowed to check out later than the required time. Whenever I spoke with staff, they were very helpful.

Ceiling fan remote was missing, I was led to belive that parking was included. I had to pay extra for it and people kept parking in our reserved parking space. The other guests were hanging out on the back area smoking LotsOf Marijuana and stomping up and down the hall all night long. It made my sister fear for her safety.

The place was perfectly clean and everything looked new or close to it. Everything looked modern except for the great wood floor. Lovely! But it will creak when you walk. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped (almost too much in fact), including an enormous fridge. Comfy sofa, two big tvs, giant showers. I was happily surprised by the dishwasher and the washer and dryer. Laundry detergent was even there! The place was near good restaurants (Lula’s one block away has one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever eaten) and the streetcar to the French Quarter stops just a few steps outside the door.

There was closet space with lots of hangers but no shelves, which was a pity. There was a measuring cup i wanted to use in the kitchen, but it was out of reach even for my tall uncle and there wasn’t a step ladder. The kitchen is stocked with so many gadgets (a toaster oven/air fryer, an electric kettle, what I think was a futuristic toaster, a bulky coffee maker) that there wasn’t counter space for half of them. I’m not sure the area was quite safe at night, although nothing untoward happened to us.
