Good location and not a bad price

The advertisement shows the rear garden with table and chairs. But we found rear garden only accessible by walking all the way round cottages and furniture was locked in cupboard with no key to be found, also garden hadn’t been maintained.underneath the units in living room was not clean, large living room window was locked shut and there was no key which was frustrating as temperatures were pretty high when we stayed

The property was clean, with everything we needed there. Towels, good quality toilet paper, enough pots, pans, cups, glasses etc. Very pleasantly surprised to find tea bags available (nice touch). Beds very comfortable.,

No back door to the rear garden, but the walk round to gain access was ok. Other than that, no problems. We understand that a lot of kitchen space would be lost if rear door was there. The location was advertised as Bridport, but it's a good distance from Bridport, not close to any large shops.

Location

It was very well equipped and beautifully situated in a peaceful cul de sac with woodland and ferns on a steep bank behind the property and more trees across the access road at the front. There is access to the South West Coast Path from an uphill path in the woods which is on the left of the car park containing the communal bins, as you drive out towards the hotel. There are also mown paths opposite the front of the property down to lakes.

A ticking time switch in the cupboard containing the hot water cylinder in the twin bedded room which made sleeping there difficult. I'm sure it could be replaced with a silent / electronic version, or perhaps it had got stuck. Also I eventually figured out that in order to switch the ceiling lights in the lounge on or off, you have to press in the slider switch next to front door.
